The pieces of lemon are simply mixed with powdered herbs, fried in oil, and tied in small cotton cloth pouches. After dipping these pouches in warm oil, apply them to the body with long circular stamping strokes. Blood circulation is increased by the combined action of warm oil and lemon, which act as vasodilators, thus healing the intended area. 

The treatment is very good in acute pain due to joint, and disc prolapse, arthritis, and injuries. It is used as a preparatory to Panchakarma or for cleansing or detox if indicated by the disease and can be done as an independent treatment.

Before Naranga Kizhi begins, an oil application prepares the body. The treatment is performed in various positions, similar to the traditional Ayurvedic massage called Abhyangam. The combination of warm oil and lemon in the pouches helps to soothe the body, relieving pain and promoting overall well-being.
